I'm waiting for the Senior Citizen Wood Shop to reopen Jan. 2nd. 2013 so I can use a router bit I ordered to make the walnut molding for this base.. But I just had to lay the parts on what base I had to get the feel of the finished product...
This is where I found out that the holes I had drilled for the two Bradleyohm carbon compression rheostats were just a hair too small for the maximum hole size diamond grit drill I have. With the greatest of care I was able to enlarge the hole using the drill to cut on its side a quadrant at a time.
It worked!
