A few shots of my Delco RB-3 as received...
Just a little bit of Go-Jo and some Old English ought to make it good to go.
OR NOT !
Wood in grill area is totally delaminated but only one section missing.
Top has veneer missing in four locations and is dry rotted along left side.  Too bad because the rest of the veneer cleaned up beautifully.  Replacing 20% of the veneer could never NOT jump out at you.

The piece has already been removed and new veneer installed... The major downside is that the new veneer is not 'old growth' walnut.  Much more open grain.  But with proper filling and coloration, the replacement will not scream out at the viewer like a radically patched top.
With a finish this bad, trying to figure the original coloration of the wood and end grain is more than a challenge... I've made many pictures and notes.
The veneer drape under the front edge of the top and the face plate for the chassis and speaker are a black walnut finish.

The cabinet front is a reddish walnut.

While the top and sides are a medium brown walnut tending towards yellowish.
The top and bottom molded ornaments are a deep chocolate brown with black background.

Not to easy to see are two long vertical ornaments on either side of the panel.  These are embossed "reed bundles" that are more of a yellow oak color.

There is evidence of shading on the legs and the front corners of the cabinet.
